Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPPC) have partnered with local football and netball club Sandown Park Cobras, who will compete in the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL), for season 2020 – and beyond.
WPPC will assist Cobra football and netball players with injury prevention, management & treatment as Physiotherapy & Allied Health Care Partner to the Cobras for the next three seasons
WPPC commitment to the Cobra’s community includes Education of players, trainers & coaches – footy & netball – on first aid & the sports injury management; Sports Squad Rate for all registered club players for each injury treatment at the WPPC clinic; and financial support for the club.
The WWPC team, headed by Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist* Andrew Dalwood (FACP) and including Physiotherapist James Serong (Box Hill VFL), will support the team including on occasion at pre-season training, which recently commenced.
WPPC Director Andrew Dalwood said “WPPC are delighted to support the Cobras for the next 3 seasons as Physiotherapy & Allied Health Care Partner, as the club re-establish itself in the SFNL. WPPC are committed to supporting & assisting player participation and welfare at local community sporting clubs. Too many clubs in our local Greater Dandenong community have folded in recent times, and sport participation is vital to community health & well-being”.
