After 16 seasons of sports medicine & physiotherapy injury management. Physioworks Health Group’s Sports Physiotherapist Scott Williams has retired from his role at the Cranbourne Football Netball Club.
The Cranbourne Football Club, which has since become the Cranbourne Football Netball Club (CFNC) has been a constant in the community since 1889. It is a proud club & an exceptional ambassador for the local community.
With a post-graduate diploma in Sports Physiotherapy, Scott Williams accepted the role of CFNC Physiotherapist in 2007 to gain experience in managing injuries in the semi-professional athletes. There are not too many people in the Cranbourne community who have attended almost every game & training session over the last 16 years. Assisting all to participate & play the sport they love, Scott’s game tally would be at least 320 games – a great achievement & testament to Scott on his commitment to his profession, to the club & to the local Cranbourne community.
In the 16 seasons Scott worked at CFNC, the Senior Men’s Football team won three premierships, including 2022, while the Reserves team won two flags.
Scott has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the club, making many friends whilst working with some of our community’s most talented athletes. Scott says he has also learnt many lessons across his journey, including ‘attitude is everything” and that having a fractured eye socket is, for some players, no reason not to play out the game! “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the club as team physio & I will forever cherish the memories l have of the players & their amazing support staff” said Scott
Physioworks Health Group has a long association with the club since Physioworks Director David Francis, played for Eagles in the early 1990’s. The club board have long recognised the importance of player injury management in achieving success & Physioworks has been involved in assisting the club for over 20 years
