Physioworks Health Group

As an essential service, Physioworks Health Group clinics remain open to help you with all your physiotherapy needs during the current COVID lockdown periods.

Of late, with increased working/learning from home; and especially post the first lockdown period, the Physioworks physiotherapy team have had numerous clients attending our clinics with neck, shoulder and upper back pain issues.

The issues presenting are common with both adults and students. Many of the issues were traced back to working from home or remote school learning – and to the home desk set up of each individual.

To help prevent back, shoulder and neck pain it is really important that your home office or study desk is set up correctly.

Recently, one of our clients Angus attended Physioworks Health Group to get some assistance from Physiotherapist Irwin Kim as he was getting neck and back pain whilst doing home schooling. One outcome was advice from Irwin on the correct set-up of his home desk.

Angus – “Hey Irwin – I feel comfortable now with this desk set up at home? What do you think?”

Irwin – “This now looks fantastic. Great screen height & viewing angle, good sitting posture; including feet on the floor; a good distance from the screen and aligned with the middle of the screen. And remember to also get up and move regularly from your desk, and do some stretches. Good set-up Angus”

Avoid common pain and injuries caused by incorrect posture and desk set up. Give your preferred Physioworks clinic a call today if you need assistance with how to set up your home working or studying arrangements.
