Physioworks Health Group Physiotherapist Amy Shipperd was recently team physiotherapist supporting the Australian Blind and Low Vision Tennis Team at the IBTA World Blind Tennis Championships,

The IBTA World Blind Tennis Championships, the leading international competition for blind & vision impaired tennis players, was held in late August in Lithuania.

The event was a highly successful tournament for the Australian team winning 9 gold, 8 silver & 2 bronze medals.

Amy was responsible for leading & supporting the athletes in daily warm-ups, treating players as needed between matches, running post-match recovery sessions, and treating any injuries.

Amy Shipperd is highly experienced tennis physio who has worked as an onsite physiotherapist at numerous national & international tennis tournaments. Amy works with able-bodied players, as well as athletes with impairment at these elite athlete tennis events.

Across our four clinics, Physioworks Health Group provides a range of physiotherapy services, including Sports Physiotherapy.  Several members of the physio & allied health care team have vast experience in working within elite sports environments, supporting athletes across numerous sporting teams and events, including AFL, cricket, tennis and athletics.
