Karyn Wheeler recently returned from the USA where she completed further training & teaching in Trauma Touch Therapy, which is only taught at the Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood, Colorado.
As Karyn explains; ‘In 2019 I travelled to Colorado to complete a course that combined two fields of work that I am passionate about – helping people who are dealing with family violence and/or homelessness and my profession for 20 years as a massage therapist’.
Karyn completed the Level 1 course in 2019 – an intensive 5 days (50 hours) of theory & practical learning; and the Level 2 course which was an externship where Karyn worked with clients under the guidance & support of the team in Colorado to become a Trauma Touch Therapist.
As a Trauma Touch Therapist Karyn Wheeler returned to Colorado recently as a Teaching Assistant for the Level 1 course.
Karyn says; ‘Teaching Trauma Touch Therapy was as intense & informative as being a student on the course. I have always found my work as a massage therapist to be rewarding however Trauma Touch Therapy is a unique modality which I am passionate about sharing. I am so glad to be able to offer & support my clients with it at Physioworks Health Group”
