Paediatric Physiotherapist Adrienne Harvey was recently presented with the 2013 Anne McCoy Award by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) for outstanding contribution towards the advancement of Paediatric Physiotherapy in Victoria.
This prestigious award acknowledged Adrienne’s long standing clinical leadership, mentoring, teaching and research activity in Paediatric Physiotherapy.
First awarded in 2004, the award is named after Anne McCoy (AM), who was Director of Physiotherapy at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne for over 30 years.
Paediatric Physiotherapy involves the management of babies and children with orthopaedic and neurological conditions as well as children with developmental problems. It aims to optimise a child’s movement and function or assist in achieving developmental milestones.
As a leading paediatric physiotherapist with a Masters of Physiotherapy in Paediatrics and over 20 years research and clinical experience, Adrienne consults at the Physioworks Health Group Camberwell.
