For over 25 years Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPPC) has extended its physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy and health care services across our local communities of Mulgrave, Wheelers Hill, Waverley Park, Clayton, Rowville, Dandenong and Dandenong North.
Part of our commitment is continuing to address the dynamic health-care requirements of these communities, with the introduction of new services.
From September 2016, Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre is introducing Exercise Physiology services at our Mulgrave clinic.
Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre Exercise Physiologist Brooke DeHey specialises in exercise prescription and the delivery of exercise programs for elite athletes through to people suffering from injury and/or chronic disease, including diabetes, obesity, arthritis and cardiovascular disease.
Brooke will conduct initial exercise assessments, exercise and fitness classes and one-on-one exercise sessions at our Mulgrave clinic, initially on Friday afternoons.
Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre Director Andrew Dalwood said that everybody can benefit from regular exercise and assisting clients with exercise is critical to the health and well-being of the community. “Exercise is great ‘medicine’ for many conditions, from general fitness, assisting with diabetes or heart conditions or pre/post natal. Securing experienced Exercise Physiologist Brooke DeHey to support our clients with their exercise programs and rehabilitation ensure that our Mulgrave clinic continues to offer our community the very best in allied health care.”
