With our 2016/17 season sponsorship now in place, Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPPC) Director Andrew Dalwood and his family were recently hosted by the Brandon Heights Bandits at the Melbourne Ball Park.

The Bandits played against the Northwood Falcons as an exciting curtain raiser to the Melbourne Aces ABL match, in the first softball game played at the State Baseball Centre for a number of years. Both clubs ensured a tight game, with a number of state players on both teams showing excellent skills with both bat and ball.

Andrew Dalwood commented that the Bandits put in a real fighting effort, that he enjoyed watching the team spirit shown by the Bandits and that the game was played with great sportsmanship. “It was great to meet some of the Bandit players and coaches; I’m very confident the WPPC and Bandits partnership will prove a winning combination” said Andrew.

WPPC are the new team uniform sponsor and allied health care partner of the Bandits. The WPPC team will provide education and support to the Bandits playing squad, coaches and the wider club community in the management of injuries, including providing some training and match day physio services at times during the season.

It was great to see the new club uniforms, with the Waverley Park Physio logo, get its first outing at such a great event. I was very proud to be involved as a sponsor and look forward to helping the club grow from strength to strength in the coming years” said Andrew. “Congratulations to all concerned at the club, especially Kate Bellamy for her outstanding work, and thanks to Donna Scammell and the Committee for hosting myself and Grace. Go Bandits!” added Andrew.
