Your tailored program may include exercises for flexibility, balance, strength, movement, control and gait re-training.

Why Hydrotherapy?

Being in the water assists relaxation of painful bone, muscles and joints as the water helps support your body. The warm water temperature (34°-36°C) can help improve circulation, aid in muscle relaxation and helps to decrease pain. This can allow for greater comfort, improved range of movement and re-training movement patterns. Resistance of the water can also be used to improve muscle strength, stability and balance.

A wide range of conditions can benefit from hydrotherapy including:

  • Back pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Rehabilitation following surgery
  • Balance and co-ordination problems
