Why Hydrotherapy?
Being in the water assists relaxation of painful bone, muscles and joints as the water helps support your body. The warm water temperature (34°-36°C) can help improve circulation, aid in muscle relaxation and helps to decrease pain. This can allow for greater comfort, improved range of movement and re-training movement patterns. Resistance of the water can also be used to improve muscle strength, stability and balance.
A wide range of conditions can benefit from hydrotherapy including:
- Back pain
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Fibromyalgia
- Shoulder Pain
- Rehabilitation following surgery
- Balance and co-ordination problems
