Physioworks 30 years

Physioworks Health Group has long-standing involvement in community sport; and members of our team are actively involved in numerous Research projects.

As the 2022 AFLW season gets closer to finals, and many of our junior female athletes get ready for their footy seasons to begin, Physioworks Health Group are actively working with La Trobe University to produce the “Prep to Play Programme” Research Project to help female footballers prepare, execute & recover.

Physioworks Health Group is the exclusive provider of this injury prevention & improved performance research project, which commenced in 2021. The team at Physioworks are passionate about the success of Women’s Football, but to succeed extensive ongoing education for all clubs, coaches & players is required to help minimise injury risk & optimise performance.

Physioworks will provide ongoing & extensive support to numerous community club female football programs in 2022/23 through the Latrobe University Prep to Play Programme.

Physioworks Health Group Director David Francis will work with players from the Ashburton Redbacks Junior Football Club; the Camberwell Sharks Junior Football Club and the Waverley Park Hawks Junior Football Club to help teach & educate young female footballers how to look after their bodies – pre and post-game –  as well as to help optimise performance during a game.
