Physioworks 30 years

Physioworks Health Group recently educated over 50 local community football & netball trainers, coaches & parents in injury treatment & management.

Four Physioworks Injury Prevention/Management and Improved Performance Education Sessions were held across Physioworks clinics at Berwick, Camberwell & Pakenham.

The education sessions are a key commitment to Physioworks’ ongoing support of local community sporting clubs & leagues to help ensure playing participants have best level immediate support should injury occur.

Physioworks Directors David Francis & Andrew Dalwood, supported by members of the Physioworks physiotherapy & allied health teams; discussed & demonstrated a range injury related topics including stretching, concussion, icing & taping, at the open Q&A interactive sessions.

Attendees included trainers, coaches & numerous volunteer parents who help out on match-day from senior and junior football & netball clubs including the Ashy Redbacks Junior FC, the Officer Kangaroos Junior FC, the Berwick FC, the Pakenham FC, the Narre Warren FNC, the Devon Meadows FNC, the Officer FC and numerous clubs from the Ellinbank & District Football Netball League.

“Ensuring best level injury support & player welfare is critical to ongoing participation in local community sport” said David Francis. “Assisting the clubs to ensure the tireless volunteers who support the players at training and match day have a solid level of knowledge & confidence to help prevent and/or support player injury are key objectives of our community education sessions. We’d like to thank all those who attended the injury education sessions and admire them for their commitment to their respective clubs” added David.
