Physioworks Health Group Physiotherapist Amy Shipperd has recently worked as the Australian team physio at the 2024 IBTA Blind Tennis World Championships.

There were over 150 athletes from 25 countries, across four different divisions, competing at the championships near Venice, Italy.

Australia had a very successful World Championships.  The Australian team had 15 athletes competing, winning six gold medals & five silver medals across the four different divisions.

Amy reports that she was kept quite busy throughout the week with the Australian athletes, working with & supporting all gold medalists; and most of the silver medalists.

Amy stated that she very impressed with the fitness of the athletes, as blind tennis is an incredibly challenging & physical game.
