Sport Physio Matthew Lynagh Appointed to Australian Cricket Intellectual Disabilities Team

Physioworks Health Group Sport Physiotherapist Matthew Lynagh has been appointed as the team physiotherapist to the Australian Cricket team with Intellectual Disabilities.

Matthew has recently returned from a four day team training camp at the BUPA National Cricket Centre in Brisbane. Matthew supported the team as they underwent rigours fitness testing, net sessions and had a full scale practice match.

Australian Test spinner Nathan Lyon attended the training camp to give some tips to the players and help out with the sessions at the camp.

The training camp was in preparation to pick the Australian squad for the upcoming 3 week tri-series in UK against England and South Africa in July. Matt will be supporting the team on the UK tour.

In addition to Australian Cricket team with Intellectual Disabilities, Matthew Lynagh works as sports physiotherapist for numerous elite sporting teams, including the Australian Cricket Womens U15 and U18 teams and the Collingwood FC AFLW team. Matthew consults at Physioworks Health Group Berwick, Cranbourne and Pakenham clinics.
