Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre presenting at the Waverley Park Hawks Active Kids Health Seminar



Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPPC), together with Nutrition for Life, are presenting at the Waverley Park Hawks Active Kids Health Seminar.

Andrew Dalwood, WPPC Director and Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, with over 25 years of health care experience, as father of three sporty kids and as a keen follower of children’s sport, will present Growing Pains and Injuries in Children’s Sport. The presentation will cover:

  • Common kids injuries – around the knee and foot.
  • What are growing pains?
  • Known indicators for injury development.
  • Simple management principles for injury and prevention.

Complementing Andrew’s presentation, Dietician and Sports Nutritionist Rob Haala from Nutrition for Life will present Nutrition for Young Athletes, which will cover

  • Nutrition for the young athlete.
  • Importance of hydration.
  • Role of carbohydrate & protein
