Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist Liane Fenwick has joined Physioworks Health Group to manage the Clinical Pilates program at Physioworks Camberwell.
Clinical Pilates is a specialised specific form of Pilates run by specially-trained physiotherapists. It focuses on improving core stability, posture, balance, control, strength and flexibility through low-impact equipment and floor based exercises.
With 22 year’s experience as a physiotherapist, Liane has a special interest in Clinical Pilates having run a busy Clinical Pilates practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne over the last 8 years.
Liane is one of only a handful of Australian physiotherapists trained to the highest level in both the internationally recognized STOTT pilates method, and the rehabilitation focused, evidence based clinical pilates method. She has extensive experience working with clients rehabilitating from injury/illness, elite athletes, and clients seeking to maximise strength, stability and flexibility.
Liane holds postgraduate qualifications in Pelvic Floor and Continence Physiotherapy, Human Nutrition and Ergonomics. She is a former Australian Olympian (Beach Volleyball ’96), former Captain of the Australian indoor volleyball team and a former Australian rowing champion.
