Physioworks Exercise Physiologist Brooke DeHey presented a pre-season health and fitness seminar last week to the St.Cecilia’s Netball Club.
The seminar focussed on Exercise Physiology and netball, specifically strength & fitness for netball & common injury prevention. Twenty-five (25) parents, coaches and players attended to discuss a range of issues from pre-game warm up exercises to correct running technique.
Brooke also discussed the importance of specific exercises targeted to varied age groups with the aim to adapt a program to the needs of growing, changing female bodies.
The St Cecilia’s Netball Club has eight (8) teams from Grade 4 to Open Age group, playing in the Waverley District Netball League.
